Shalom! Thank you for inquiring about Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva. We are a Messianic Jewish Theological Seminary of Graduate Studies that is chartered through the United Messianic Jewish Ministries (UMJM), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, licensed and registered in the State of Vermont (#000240434). Our members include both civilian and military populations as well as those currently in 206 state, federal, and local correctional institutions across the nation.
Meaning “Sword of Torah” in the Hebrew language, Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is the only affordable distance learning Messianic Jewish Yeshiva currently available to believers in Yeshua Messiah – the King of the Jews. The Yeshiva offers a quality Hebraic education for the spiritually hungry who desire to further their knowledge in the Word of Elohim but who either cannot afford the high cost of a formal shul setting or are unable to attend due to their present location.
Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is the only tuition-free Messianic yeshiva available for the incarcerated. Many of our instructors and staff are composed of former and current prisoners who are yeshiva trained, degree credentialed, and highly knowledgeable in the courses they teach. In addition to offering a Teaching Certification Program, the Yeshiva offers undergraduate Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree programs, as well as post-graduate programs for Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva was established to meet the required educational needs and ministerial training for aspiring Jewish leaders within the United Messianic Jewish Ministries (UMJM). As a private institution, enrollment at Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is not open to the public but available only to UMJM invitees who have met the stringent requirements as set forth by the Yeshiva board of directors in accordance with the UMJM Beit Din policies and standards.
The mission of Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is to train future UMJM leaders and educators who have demonstrated their sincerity and total commitment to the doctrine, mission, and ministry of the UMJM. Certifications, ordinations, and awarded academic degrees are issued under the authority of the UMJM board of directors and are fully accepted by all affiliated ministries, assemblies, and fellowships. Acceptance of course credits and degrees issued by Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva at other institutions is at the discretion of their Registrar’s office and not intended for matriculation or transfer.
As Messianic Judaism becomes more familiar to the general public, it draws ever-increasing interest from other religions. Due to false teachings, anti-Semitic doctrine, and pagan influences in their Gentile belief systems, many are seeking to return to the biblical faith of the Jewish Messiah. Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva strives to teach pertinent biblical topics and doctrine from a Hebraic perspective to educate other Jewish believers and help them better understand their own roles and positions of authority given to them as children of God.

Student Selection Process
It is important to emphasize that Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is a private institution and not open to the public. Our mission and purpose is not to educate every Jewish believer but only those who are being trained for leadership roles within affiliated assemblies of the United Messianic Jewish Ministries (UMJM).
Candidates meeting all enrollment requirements will be placed in an eligibility status for future consideration. Classes are limited in size; therefore, the student selection process is extremely stringent and competitive. Students are selected by the UMJM Beit Din board members based on their consistent Torah observance, maturity, faithful communication, and doctrinal compliance.
Seminary Accreditation
The accreditation status of a religious academic institution is determined by the legislative body under which the institution submits itself and accepts as its governing spiritual authority. Most seminaries within the United States are independently governed and accredited by their supporting religious organizations.
Larger colleges and universities offering religious curricula and degrees must meet secular (non-biblical) academic guidelines to use state and federal grant funds. Institutions that do not agree or conform to the ideology of what these secular governing bodies deem as acceptable doctrine are not recognized as “credible” academic establishments and do not receive their accreditation designation.
Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva Graduate Seminary is accredited through the United Messianic Jewish Ministries (UMJM) and its Jewish governing board of Beit Din members. The UMJM is a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious organization certified by the Vermont Secretary of State. All degrees, certifications, and ordinations are issued by authority of the UMJM and are recognized only among United Messianic Jewish Ministries affiliated kehillot and institutions.
NOTE: The academic curriculum offered through Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva is designed to instruct and develop future Jewish ministers who intend to pursue leadership positions and roles within the UMJM. Degrees and certifications earned through Kh’rev Torah Yeshiva, which affiliated UMJM organizations accept, will not be recognized by secular institutions and, therefore, will not be transferable.
